Meet the Team

I moved to St Mellion Estates, from the famous Emirates Golf Club, Dubai way back in 2000 and I’m proud to say I’ve been part of the professional team here, as a coach, under David Moon ever since. During this time, I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed a lot of success and this has enabled me to travel around the world helping elite amateurs and tour professionals maximise their talent... something I couldn’t have done without the fantastic support of this great club.

I have had the pleasure of working at St Mellion since 2012 and in that time have coached members and visitors of all ages and abilities. My passion for golf began at a young age and I was fortunate enough to dedicate 8 years of my career playing professionally before qualifying as a registered P.G.A. golf coach. I believe that this passion enables me to deliver exciting, informative and personalised golf lessons for all and I am looking forward to meeting and working with new people and golfing groups in the near future.

In addition to teaching, I continue to play at a professional level and compete on the PGA West Region each year. I have also recently launched an exciting new venture organising bespoke tuition holidays both for men, ladies and couples in the U.K. and abroad. I’m really excited to be a part of the St Mellion Golf Academy team and look forward to all the new challenges ahead.

I started my journey here at St Mellion as an Assistant Professional 5 years ago, since I passed my PGA degree in 2018 it has extended my knowledge in all areas of the golf trade, I currently look after the retail side in the golf department. When I'm not looking after the retail side I am extending my coaching cliental, coaching all different ages and abilities, also doing tailored coaching trips in the UK and abroad with Ross Whitelock. I am very passionate about coaching and helping people achieve the best out of their golf game.

I am very passionate about golf itself, playing at a high standard being the County Captain in my junior days, now competing in different PGA events around the South West. Interesting fact was winning the European Father & Son Championship which was hosting in Sky Sports. I was born in South Africa and moved to the U.K. when I was 9. Grew up next to a pitch and putt course and got the golfing bug! (Safe to say it helped my short game too). I decided that I wanted to pursue the game professionally and in 2010 went to Tournament Golf College based half of the year at St Mellion and half of the year in Portugal.

Since then I have stayed a member of St Mellion for the brilliant practice facilities and world class courses while also traveling the world as a touring pro with Darren Gass coaching me the whole way. In my time on tour I have been lucky enough to play on the MENA, Challenge, Sunshine and Asian tours as well as the Europro and mini tours in the U.K. The highlight being winning the MENA tour championships.
