A Blog From A Dog

My tail has simply not stopped wagging since I returned from my holiday at St. Mellion Estate in Cornwall!

My family recently booked a three bedroom dog friendly holiday cottage at the Cottage Collection and I am telling you now my tail almost fell off when I arrived!

There was just soooo much space in my cottage and all round, I just couldn’t keep still. My hooman kept going on about how peaceful it was hidden away in the estate, we all had the best nights sleep!

On the first day we did a beautiful walk from our cottage down the road past the Greenkeepers compound (where they all said hello), past 15th and 13th holes of Nicklaus Golf Course…wow that looked tough but the grass looked just perfect! I didn’t understand why the hoomans could play with a ball on there but I wasn’t allowed …anyway the lovely walk took me up near a village called Pillaton (where we popped into the pub ‘The Weary Friar’ for a local tipple), then back round to the main entrance of St. Mellion, past a little church which my hooman liked.

We did so many other great walks, some in the woods (called Tamar Trails I think), some on the beach at Whitsand Bay, some had water…Cotehele – National Trust will now go on my list of absolute favourite places ever as I could swim in the River Tamar and my hooman let me finish his ice cream! Some were just a short drive in the car (which is fine because I like looking out the window) and one a little bit further, but it was so worth it! That day we headed to Dartmoor and walked for miles and miles and miles and you guessed it…miles.

And the best bit…I met the girl next door (another black labrador) and we’ve already planned to meet up again there in the Summer!
